Meet the Counselor
Mrs. Kristi Melton

Hello! I am looking forward to another year of partnering with you to help every student learn, grow, and thrive. As your school counselor, my goal is to support the academic, social, and emotional development of every child. Throughout the year, students will participate in classroom counseling lessons focused on topics such as friendship skills, kindness, emotional regulation, problem-solving, personal safety, and making positive choices. I also provide short-term individual counseling, small-group counseling, and support for students experiencing challenges at school or home.
A strong partnership between school and home is one of the best ways to help children succeed. If you ever have concerns about your child's emotional well-being, friendships, behavior, or adjustment to school, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am happy to work alongside you, your child's teacher, and other staff members to ensure your child feels supported and successful.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your child's educational journey.
